She was going to have to stop this insanity soon. She was shuffled to another room where there were clothes ready for her to change into. When Dallas and Noah set about dressing her like a child, she snapped.
“STOP!” She screamed when they began to pull the hospital gown off her shoulders.
“Baby, we do not have time for this unless you want to give Jolly a show. He will be here in five minutes, ready to get you to the car. We can discuss all this at home when we get there.” Noah said and pulled again on the gown she had a death grip on.
“NO WAY! We talk now or all bets are off and I will scream this place down to the ground.” She insisted, feeling the tears gathering again. What the hell was wrong with her now? A day ago she was able to deal with anything thrown her way, today she was a bumbling lump and could not even speak up for herself. Her life had turned into a cheap dime store novel and she refused to accept she had no choices.
Dallas stepped in front of her and took her hands in his firmly, then he leaned down so he was staring her in the eyes, “Let go, we will discuss this at home in private, you will do what we say or I will paddle your ass right here in the hospital. I have lost my patience with this whole thing and I need a drink.”
“What did you say? You are going to spank me?” She squeaked. Noah smiled behind her when he heard her, he was beginning to love that squeak, and it was so cute. He pulled the gown from around her and gasped at the bruises that marred her perfect body.
Bailey heard him and looked behind her to see the man tearing up too. She stopped fighting when she looked back at Dallas who was staring right at her breasts. She tried to cover them up but he held her arms still. “Noah, you were right, she was made for us.
Baby, you are perfect.” He whispered and gently leaned down and brushed his lips against hers. “We will continue this later.” He said growling and releasing her arms so Noah could dress her.
They had brought her a sweat suit that was too big for her. The top reached her knees and the bottoms refused to stay up. Noah got frustrated and pulled them off, leaving her in the top alone muttering to himself, “We will have to have clothes made for her, she is so small, even the petites are too big. Oh, it will be fun dressing her, I will have to call Calli soon so she can get over and make the measurements.”
“I have my own clothes, thank you very much,” she muttered right back at him. “I am not a doll.”
Noah looked at Dallas over her head and shook his head telling his lover not to tell her yet that she had nothing left at her apartment. Apparently, someone from the Digrossi organization destroyed it after she had been shot. When Jolly went to her place to get her things, there was nothing not torn apart and destroyed left for her to use.
When they left Bailey earlier, they decided they would do, what they thought was best for her, whether she wanted it or not. Granted they had both just met her, but they knew she was the missing piece of their family. It was a strange feeling to know with one look this little woman would hold both of their hearts so quickly. Dallas never believed in love at first sight until he stalked into the Emergency Room earlier today and caught sight of Bailey. When she opened her eyes and looked at him, he was lost and Noah knew it. He was giddy with excitement to get her home and take care of her.
Bailey did not know it yet, but she was theirs and she was never leaving them.
Chapter 4
Bailey followed the directions of the two men not because she was scared of being spanked, no, it was because for once she had the feeling she belonged. These men treated her like she was the most important person in their lives. Every move they made, each of them had a hand on her, in one way or another. It was like a dance and she was in the middle. She just allowed them to lead her to where she needed to go.
They left the hospital under cloak and dagger, which she admitted was kinda sexy, if she did not think about the fact, someone was trying to kill her. The Hummer that arrived to take them to safety added to the mystery. She gave all of her information to the State Prosecutor, but she knew she was going to have to explain what she found to all the other investigators involved. She stared out the Hummer"s tinted windows, looking for a familiar sight she could relate to, and figure out where they were taking her. They traveled south on the highway and Bailey was lost. She lived in Denver, but rarely explored the huge town. She was a creature of habit and liked living in her little suburb, shopping at the local stores and never venturing farther than dinner with Bruce/Bruno.
God she was pathetic, she thought as she continued to stare out the window.
There were two handsome men with her at her beck and call and she wanted to go back to the boring life she had. Tears formed again and began falling down her cheeks; she knew when they found out how boring she was, she was going to be kicked back into the street. What did they see in her? She liked to read and go to the library for fun.
Bookstores were the most exciting shopping she did in week. Look at the way they were dressed, especially Dallas, she knew the suit he had cost more than her monthly apartment rental. The last outfit she found that fit her was at the goodwill last year. She had a savings account but she rarely used it because she was worried she would need it in the future. You never knew what could happen and Bailey refused to be in a situation where she could possibly be homeless, so she scraped and saved all of her income to plan for an emergency. Paying back her loans for school had happened last year, seven years early, so she would never have to worry about it. She wanted to buy a house for herself, but refused to do it until she had enough to make sure, if something happened, she had the payments for at least two years in advance. The economy was a quirky thing and she was an accountant. Numbers were her safety net. She was making a list of the reason"s she could present to the two hunks and explain to them why they needed to let her go.
She had her whole boring life mapped out for her. Nowhere in it was getting shot, meeting two sexy men, and letting them take over her life. She had enough money to take care of herself for the next five or six months, paying her rent and food until she could get into that Wit Sec thingy the pudgy man told her about. Surely, they would help her get a job, it was the least they could do considering she was going to leave the safe and quiet life she wanted.
Bailey silently planned her future in the car ride to the warehouse. When she saw where they pulled up to, she looked at the two men again. They were looking straight ahead at the huge door that was opening before them. Bailey could see it was a garage of some sort. Inside had a collection of cars that were very cool but not familiar to her. She did not have a car, she rode the bus, but she knew a classic and expensive car when she saw one. Wow, she counted at least six cars and a few motorcycles against the back wall.
They must be someplace they are going to switch vehicles. Bailey leaned back and waited for someone to tell her where to go again. Dallas scooted up and leaned to whisper something in Jolly the Giant"s ear. Bailey laughed at herself for making a joke when her life was spinning out of control.
Jolly nodded and got out of the car and met four guys that had walked up behind them without Bailey noticing. They, of course, we're not as big as Jolly, but they were no less intimidating. Where did they grow these men, she thought? Bailey was sure she would have remembered seeing anyone who looked like these guys. They were every woman"s wet dream and for some reason they were all helping her. The theme for the Twilight Zone played in her head again.
Bailey shifted on the seat, trying to get a good look at all of the guys surrounding the car.
Noah chuckled and whispered in her ear, “Darlin", you had better stop looking at the guards or Dallas will get pissed. I am not taking too kindly to it either, but I am more forgiving. Dallas will spank that cute little ass if he thinks your eyes are wandering.” Bailey gasped and turned to look at the two men in the car with her. Both were staring at her, looking for her reaction to Noah words. She licked her bottom lip nervously before saying the first thing that popped into her he
ad. “You guys are my babysitters not my owners, I can look at who I want.”
Noah shook his head and sat back; waiting for the eventual blow up that Dallas was going to do. “Baby, those are fighting words.” Dallas ground out, his eyes were glittering a threat that Bailey had never seen before. It did not scare her, but instead it excited her and she shifted uncomfortably while the wetness in her panties grew. What were these men doing to her? She had never felt like this with any man before. She looked down thinking she was going to have to reevaluate the situation when she was alone later. Maybe she could at least spend one night with her stunning dream men.
Who knew when she would ever get a chance like this again?
Another delightfully striking man came to the passenger side of the car and leaned in.
“Dude, secured, time to lock yourselves in until we create a schedule. Do you need anything? Once you are inside, it is lockdown until I get the plan ready; we are talking a few days here, guys.”
Bailey sat up straighter and said loudly. “Us „dudes" need clothes, I cannot wear these around for the next few days, it doesn"t fit.” She grumbled to the man. “Also, I need to speak to the man in charge, because a few days, is too long.”
“Sorry ma"am, my name is Steve. I am head of your security team. There are no options other than staying here until I can make another plan. Uhh, clothes?” He said and looked at the other two guys helplessly.
“Don"t worry, I called Calli, she is coming over with the smallest clothes she has. She will be here in fifteen minutes or so, if you could wait for the lockdown until then, it would be awesome. Jolly could escort her in.” Dallas said calmly and pulled Bailey to his side. “Noah goes first; then Bailey, I will wait for Calli and follow when she gets here.
Noah get her settled into her room and ready for Calli.” Bailey caught the feral glitter in Steve"s eyes when the Calli"s name was mentioned. His tongue ran across his lips, breaking into a grin and looked at Jolly who rolled his eyes.
Once again, they organized around her without her input. She was getting seriously pissed that they continued to do this in front of her, but she currently had no other options. So she followed their instructions until she could get her head wrapped around the fact she was going to have to start over again. Tears that had been just under the surface started to boil over again and she bowed her head so the guys could not see. She was led to the back of the garage into an elevator. There were only three buttons on the panel before them, all color-coded and she had no idea where they led to, this thought made her frown again. These men could be part of the whole plot to kill her and she just walked into another situation without even thinking. What was wrong with her? Bailey shook her head because she knew these men wanted to help not hurt her, the paranoia would have to go; she did not have time for that emotion too right now.
She felt the elevator go up and the doors opened into a small corridor, before she could protest. Noah and Bailey stepped out, while Jolly and Dallas remained in the elevator.
Noah led her to a large door that looked metal. He punched a few numbers on the pad next to the door, the light turned green and the door slid open. It was like the movies but Bailey was too tired to try and figure it out right now. She just wanted to lie down.
Noah led her across a huge room decorated very nicely in southwestern furniture and painting on the walls. It looked like a very upscale apartment on the inside, while she knew it looked like a warehouse on the outside. No one could tell there was this beautiful place on the inside. She looked around at the huge pit of comfortable furniture in the middle of the room. It made an L shape and was turned to look at an enormous television that hung on the wall with a fireplace underneath it. She longed to sink into it and fall asleep, but Noah pulled her through an arch and down a hallway. On the left, they passed a big bathroom she peeked into, once again decorated tastefully. At the end of the hallway, there were two doors, one on the left and one on the right. Noah stopped outside of the one on the left and motioned to the door.
“That is Dallas and my room, yours will be here. Feel free to knock on our door whenever you want. I suspect Dallas will want the doors open so he can keep his eye on you.” Noah said grinning down at her. She was smaller when they were standing close to her. He was going to have to be careful she looked like she was ready to break. He longed to pull her into his arms and take away all of the pain and troubles, but unfortunately, she was not ready for that yet.
Bailey nodded and waited for the man to open the other door for her. She was a guest, after all, and felt out of place here. This place was three times as big as her apartment and way nicer. She was a little afraid of breaking something. Noah opened the door for her and motioned her in. Her eyes were drawn to the huge princess poster bed that was the centerpiece of the room and was directly across from her door. The canopy was gold and pink, and the comforter on the bed matched all, calling to her to come and sink into its softness. She noticed a chaise to the left of the bed situated in a corner, and on the same side two matching dressers, one with a mirror that took up practically the whole wall, the other was tall with a million drawers in it. Bailey smiled and thought to fill those dressers with clothes would cost her at least a few years of salary. To the right of the bed there was a wall of glass that looked out into a garden of sorts. When she looked at it closer, she could see a freestanding tub in the center of the little room, surrounded by flowers and exotic plants. She had never seen anything like this, even in the movies.
Her ceiling had skylights over half of it. She bet at night it was an awesome sight. There was an empty walk in closet and a small entertainment area opposite of the bed and upon closer examination; she saw the closet led to an adjoining bathroom that looked like it led to the guy"s room. She would never have to leave her room. Noah smiled and pointed out all of the cool things they had designed into the room. An intercom system and also security, though he said Dallas would explain that. He was watching her expression and when Bailey OH"d and Ah"d, she was rewarded with his grin.
They heard the door open in the living room and Noah excused himself, muttering he would send in Calli. He seemed a little upset to be leaving her.
Bailey stood in front of the mirror above the flat dresser looking at her reflection. What a mess! There was no way these men were attracted to her. She looked like a drowned rat, her normally curly bouncy hair hung lifelessly around her head. She had small cuts from the window exploding all over her face. Her shoulder had a hump from the dressing the nurse had done just before they left the hospital. Quasimodo at her best, she thought.
Bailey saw a figure standing her doorway and gasped when she looked at the exotic creature before her. Well if her appearance bugged her when she was alone, then when this picture perfect woman came in, her ego took a really big hit. She had to be involved with one of the guys, heck she was straight and she wanted her. She had short, spiky, electric blue hair, framing a long magnificent face. When she drew closer, Bailey could see her eyes were the same blue as her hair and she was at least 6 feet tall with a toned and lithe figure. So far, she had seen more good-looking people in one day than she had ever seen.
“Hi, I am Calli, and your personal dresser. You are just cuter than a bug"s ear, all small and compact. How old are you?” Her husky voice asked her. Wow, if she was not convinced this girl was a model before, when she walked toward her, Bailey knew at one time Calli had graced the runways.
“Uh, twenty-five? What is a personal dresser?” She asked.
“Well my dear, from now on, I will buy and design everything you put on that little body.
My God, you are so small.” Calli smiled at her and pulled a measuring tape from around her neck and before she knew it, she was being turned and twisted in different positions by the girl. She was muttering to herself the whole time about the wound dressing being a hindrance. Calli was very gentle and when she was done, she led Bailey to the chaise and had her lay down.
“Cookie, you look l
ike you're gonna pass out. I have some clothes that will work until I can get your wardrobe done, you lay here and relax, and I will bring them in.” Calli ordered her before Bailey could protest.
She could not afford this, maybe the government was going to pay, she thought and then laughed at the ridiculous idea. She waited until she saw Calli struggling with an armload of clothes on hangers, walking to the closet, before finally speaking up. “Calli, I cannot pay for all these. You have the wrong person; I just need a pair of jeans and a shirt to get me through until I can get my own clothes.”
Calli stopped in the center of the room and looked at her like she had grown a second head. “Honey, Dallas, and Noah already paid for these, they are yours. There is a few pair of Capri you can use for jeans until I can take some of the regular jeans up. Now, don"t argue, you will lose this battle. Enjoy it and let them spoil you all they want.” Bailey said, “No, I have never met them before today, they can"t buy me clothes.
Besides, look at those dresses and stuff, I could never wear something this nice.” She whispered touching the silky fabric Calli lay across her lap.
“Pj"s, put them on. Dallas wanted you more comfortable.” Calli said completely ignoring her.
Bailey was now getting pissed again, damn it why was no one listening to her? She was a grown woman not a child. This was going to stop now!
“Calli, while I really appreciate you coming here for all of this, please take it all back. I just need a pair of pants, a shirt, and some underwear to get me through. I can write you a check for those now. Thank you so much for all your trouble.” She said briskly and stood up, wavering a little from the medication she took before leaving the hospital.
Bailey went to her purse and opened the flap to dig for her wallet. She found what she was looking for, but when she turned around to hand it to the girl, she was gone and in her place, a very pissed off Dallas stood before her.
